Verizon protect home is a service that allows you to protect your devices from outside attacks. This is a great service if you are concerned about hackers and other outside threats invading and messing with your devices. Verizon protect home also offers a free malware scan that provides you with a list of potential threats and provides you with some tips and directions on how to protect your devices.
As with all security services, there are a lot of false positives and false negatives. For instance, a lot of people don’t realize that a lot of the time they are having their phones and tablets connected to the same network as their tablet PC. This happens whenever you have your tablet PC with you and you use both devices at the same time.
I think this is an important point. Its not just about the number of people you have that are connected to the same network. Its about the quality of your connections. And that is often not the best.
I have been using Verizon since 1997, and I have never had a connection drop. It also depends on the model of the tablet PC (or any device for that matter) how connected it is. I have a couple of devices that connect through WiFi, but if you connect through your PC, you will likely experience a drop, or even disconnection of your PC from the Verizon network.
While I can’t speak for the Verizon network, other than that it works well, my experience has been that the people that I get connected to the most are also the ones that I have the most problems with. That’s not to say that other brands don’t have issues or are bad, but I have to give Verizon a lot of credit. I have had a couple of connection issues, but the majority of the time I have been able to connect to just about every device I use.
Verizon is the only major carrier in the US that doesn’t offer wireless hot-spotting, but it was already being talked about as a possible solution for Android users. If you’re not familiar with it, you can check out Verizon’s video about its “Hotspotting” service here.
According to Verizon customer Chris, you can get a pretty awesome deal with this. He says that you can get unlimited data for $10/month if you’re on the 4G LTE network, and that if you use the hotspotting features, you can get a $2 credit for each device you get on the hotspot.
This is pretty great as you can probably imagine. You can use your phone to make calls to the hotspot, and then have a second device use the hotspot to make calls. The 2 credits you can get each month is a pretty sweet deal.
This isn’t the first time we’ve had a free hotspot. In fact, if you use hotspotting features to activate this deal you will get a 30-day credit which is good for 10 devices you get on the hotspotting.
We have another free hotspot, but a very similar deal. The only difference is that you have to be on your phone at the time the hotspot is activated to get the credit.
