If you can get past the fact that the program you’re looking at is a VST player, you can use it for a number of things. For example, you can play a WAV file, you can edit the WAV file, you can record a WAV file, and you can edit the WAV file. You can also use it to play a WAV file and convert it to a MIDI file, though the process is a little more complicated.
