nettest.com/dsregdns.
This command will return the name of the host the command was run on instead of running it against the host.
nettest, net test, and net test. are the name servers I use to test my website. net test is my DNS server, and is used to test my domain name. When I do a net test, this command returns the DNS server the command was run on instead of running it against the host.
The test command is always ran against your domain name. If you want to test multiple domains in one test, you’ll need to run it against all the DNS servers you want to test. I use the following command, net test.dnsserver.com dnsserver.test.comdns server.test.nettest.comdsregdns.com to test multiple domains in one test.
This command will show you how many DNS IPs are available on the same domain. Do you have a DNS IP on your domain name? I have no idea about the IPs, but I assume they are on your domain name.
To confirm your DNS servers are alive and responding, use this similar command: net test.dnsserver.com dnsserver.test.comdns server.test.nettest.comdsregdns.
Good news for the DNS community: the newly unveiled nltest command will be a good addition to a set of tools that have been in use for years. The tool was created to test DNS servers, and has evolved into a set of tools to test the ability of DNS servers to keep up with changes in the Domain Name System.
To get some great information on what to do when your DNS server is up and working, you will need to go to the nltest page and type in /dsregdns 0x0 nerr_success.
