The 0x0 is the exit code we get from the ‘exit’ command in the [2296] program.
You should be able to see the exit code from the exit command if you open the command window. If you don’t open the command window, you will get a negative exit code.
In the case of the 0x0 exit code, you have probably exited the program, but it is still running. I have seen some people who open a command window and see 0x0 and just assume that they are running the program. Or more likely, they have killed and restarted the program, or they have restarted the program but killed it. The 0x0 exit code usually means the program is either in an endless loop or has crashed.
The program runs as a scheduled task, so once you start the program it can’t end. It only stops when you kill it, so you can’t restart it and end it.
You can use the Kill command to stop the program, then start it again. The program has a Kill ExitCode switch, so you can tell it to stop if you want it to stop, but you cant start it again.
It is a very important part of the program, so any time you see an exit code 0x0, it means the program is alive and is not in an endless loop.
I think you can take out the Sleep switch, but not the Kill ExitCode.
In this thread, we’ll be discussing the third level of self-awareness, the point of the ‘deadloop’, and how we are going to take out the Sleep switch. It’s a bit of a rant because it’s so much more about the point of self-awareness than the ‘deadloop’.
The point is that the Sleep switch is where the program goes to sleep mode. What this does is prevent the program from running again if it has been killed. This is why you see an exit code of 0x0 in the program, which means the program has either been killed or there is a problem with it. To address this problem, the Sleep switch has to be removed, or else the program will keep running for a while after it is killed.
The solution to this problem is to give the Sleep switch a name (e.g. Sleep-A), so that the program will run its sleep mode every time it is killed. This will allow it to run its sleep mode for several minutes before the Sleep switch is removed from its sleep mode.
