I’ve been in central North Carolina for the past three months and have been blessed with perfect weather. The temperatures in the day range from the high 40s to the low 50s, and the nights drop to near freezing. It’s been one of those beautiful summers.
This is the first time Ive been in the area while it was still summer and I was able to get some really great weather reports from the local weather stations. I got a lot of the details as to why this summer is the best yet, and I’m really glad I stayed up late at night to see the whole picture. I got some very cool weather reports as well and even some decent snow reports.
That weather is probably why people are so eager to visit the area. From what I hear, it’s been one of the best summers in a very long time. I’ve been here so many times now that it’s hard to believe.
In the past few weeks a few storms have been beating up the area, so even though it is still a relatively mild summer, people are coming out here to enjoy the summer weather. Even here in the south there is still a lot of snow on the ground and a few storms. Still, for a tourist destination this is one of the best areas for a weekend visit.
The fact that its still so close to downtown is a testament to how far the metro has come. The fact that it’s still so warm and sunny also speaks to how much the city has improved over the past few years. The area is always swelled up with folks coming out here, which adds to the ambience of the place.
The area is also a good one for bike riding. The city has grown steadily since the early 2000s, and there are a lot of trails in the area. The best trails for biking are the ones that connect the metro to the downtown area. There are also plenty of nice trails that connect the city to the metro. The trails that connect the south to the north are also nice. The trails that branch off to the east are a bit less crowded and more for biking.
