The most important part of the story is that it’s not always about the goal, but about the way you go about achieving it. That’s why I said that most of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot.
I’m not sure that this is a good way to describe the story of Deathloop. If you read the comments on that page, you’ll learn that the game is actually a lot more about the way we go about achieving our goals than about the goals themselves. Our goal is to defeat the Visionaries who have locked the island into one recurring day, so it’s not just about taking out eight Visionaries.
I agree. I have a feeling that there’s a small lag between the time we’re actually fighting the Visionaries and the time we’re actually doing it. We can go back to just one day and just go through it, and if the Visionaries are not up to the task to do it, then we’re just doing it as a group.
The only problem I have with this is that there is no way to defeat the Visionaries while they’re making a run at your island. I mean, I’m sure they could keep attacking for a few days to make sure they’ve established a base, but come on… I mean, I’m sure they know that a single Visionary has an army of four or five on the island, because that’s how many are there.
So yeah, I guess you can’t just go and get all the Visionaries, but I don’t think you can just blow up the island and start all over.
You can blow up the island and start all over.
I don’t like being called the “Titan of Doom”, but I do think that if you destroy the island you could start over. There is a point to the island. While Colt is having his own personal fun with Visionaries, the island is also part of a larger plan to destroy all the Visionaries and their armies.
I love the idea of the main character being a Visionary, but to me it just makes it worse that Colt is basically the leader of this island. A Visionary is supposed to be the person who can foresee the future and save the day, but it doesn’t really seem like that is where Colt is at.
As the final scene in this trailer begins, the main character has a plan to destroy all the Visionaries and their army and their enemies. I think this is a very cool scene and is a very good example to show how we can take a more aggressive approach in the future.
