This method is very simple. Make a new call to the phone number you want to change, and you just tap the phone to ring. There’s no fancy software to track down the original number, just a simple tap on the phone icon that will ring.
However, it sounds like TikTok users have become accustomed to this method of changing your phone number. I was just chatting with a guy on Twitter and he had some of his friends change their phone numbers, as well. Now, I’m not sure if this is a universal problem or just TikToks, but I hope this is a solution to the problem.

In my app, I have a button for people to send me a text message. It doesnt really have to be a text message though, I just need it to be a text message. The text message should be sent as a simple text message with no attachments. I know that this is really a simple thing to do, but I just want to make sure it can be done.
The method I’ve found to send texts from the tiktok app is to open the app and create a new contact. Type in your phone number. This should be the entire text. Then, once you’ve sent the text, tap the Done button and it will open the contact’s contact picker. Type in any name that you want, and choose the message you want to send.
