I was a little confused when I first saw the trailer for Baja, it looked like an awesome video game, but then I read the actual text. I’m still a little confused but it does make sense. I’m also really excited to see what Baja will become.
The Baja region of Mexico was once the largest fishing area in the world. In the early 1900’s the U.S. government developed a large amount of land in the region as part of its effort to control the Mexican fishing industry. The area was also a popular tourist destination because of its pristine beaches, beautiful landscapes, and wild life. The area was also known for its production of the world’s largest fish, the Baja Sea bass.
Basically, Baja is very well known for its fish, so you can expect Baja Sea bass to be the fish of choice in Baja. The area is also known for the largest concentration of wild boar in the world. When a local boatman told us that Baja Sea bass is only caught in the summer months, that was a huge confirmation that the area is indeed very well known for its Baja Sea bass.
